Josh Downer - Lead Legal Advisor

With over a decade of experience in the legal field, Josh Downer has advised some of the world's most prominent Wall Street banks, fintechs, and crypto companies. Prior to joining Koin, he was part of the industry-leading Fintech group at Paul Hastings, where he honed his expertise in navigating complex legal and regulatory landscapes. Josh later transitioned in-house to the role of Senior Product Counsel at Ripple Labs, where he spearheaded the global effort to establish Ripple's cross-border crypto-payments system on sound legal and regulatory footing and served as general counsel to a number of other global cryptocurrency projects.

Now, Josh is leveraging his extensive knowledge and industry connections to provide strategic legal guidance to the Koin team. He is instrumental in identifying the clearest path to value and scale across the platform's legal entity structure, as well as ensuring the seamless flow of value across various platforms and borders.
